Excellent Customer Service

Excellent customer service is the single most important quality a sales person can possess.  If you are a good sales person, you can sell anything to anyone, but it will be how good your customer service is that will determine whether you can sell that product to that same person or company over and over again.  You have to go that extra mile and get your customers to trust that you have their best interest in mind…and any good, honest sales person does have that in mind for their customers.  According to an article by Susan Ward of About.com, here are some key things you can do to increase the quality of your customer service.

  1. Answer your phone
  2. Don’t make promises you can’t keep
  3. Listen to your customers
  4. Deal with complaints
  5. Be helpful-even in there’s no immediate profit in it
  6. Train your staff to be always helpful, courteous and knowledgeable
  7. Go the extra mile
  8. Throw in a little something extra
