March Madness in the Targeted Marketing Arena!

March is always exciting for this marketing consultant.  It reminds me how far enthusiasm, hard work and belief in yourself can take you, whether in life, sports or marketing.  March hosts the college basketball championships.  Each March it reminds me what sports can teach all of us, especially those of us in marketing: be quick, but not in a hurry; never quit on yourself; believe in yourself; and don’t be afraid of losing. Silly platitudes?  Today, I know they’re not.

Lots of kids will ride those things to great heights this month.  Don’t envy them.  Pick a few out and ride them yourself. . .

Don’t quit on yourself.  I see many stalled companies because people quit on their marketing.  They try something, it doesn’t work, so they quit on that method and try something else.  When something doesn’t work, it’s rarely because everything about it didn’t work.  Change it, refine it, test, prod, poke, change the price, change your target audience, but never quit.  I can assist you in really knowing who your target audience is.  You may have purchased a Targeted Mailing List or done a Targeted Emailing Campaign with another list company in the past, but perhaps they did not take the time to know you, and more importantly, to help you know more about your customers and therefore reach more of the same.  That’s my job, and I enjoy what I do!!  And the great news is, there are so many options to choose from when working on a marketing project.  Regardless if it’s a Targeted Mailing List, Email List, or Auto List, we can fine-tune your selections to increase your R.O.I….which equals SCORING!!!!

Be quick, but not in a hurry.  I remember hearing this in junior high school (I believe it’s attributable to John Wooden who, in the opinion of many, was the finest college basketball coach ever). Anyway, in today’s context, be quick to act, but not so quick you get sloppy.  I like to get things done in a very timely manner, but I also like to make sure the I’s are dotted and the T’s are crossed, so to speak when assisting a company with their Targeted Mailing List itinerary.

Hustle.  There’s no substitute for it, and it can make up for so many things.  Teams that get out-hustled usually lose.  So do companies.

Believe in yourself.  We all need an extra boost in this area now and then.  I believe that I can help YOU SCORE BIG, with my Marketing Knowledge and the partnerships we have here at Dundee Data!!

Losing is part of the game.  If you are engaged, hustling and moving forward — “in the game” — you’re going to make mistakes, you’re going to “lose some.”  Perhaps you did not SCORE like you wanted to on your last marketing campaign, because you used another company that didn’t connect with you and your customers.  But I am here to tell you, it is my pleasure to assist my clients Score Big on their Marketing Projects!!
