Have you ever received a telephone call or a mail piece about a vehicle you no longer own or lease? It seems like we receive mail pieces somewhat regularly regarding our vehicles that we have since traded in for something else.  Recently a sales person from an automotive dealership we had purchased a car from several years ago left a message for us, he mentioned it had been a long time since we bought a particular car and maybe we would be interested in trading it in for a new one.  Actually, we did do just that, about three years ago!

That sales person could have made an informed call.  But if management doesn’t invest in providing updated auto mailing lists for sales and marketing, they are left with muddling through old data. If your automobile database is poorly maintained it will lead to inaccurate targeting with wasted time and dollars in undelivered mail and poor telemarketing results, all of which equates to low sales and unproductive use of time.  Keeping customers engaged and coming back again and again is not an easy feat in today’s competitive environment.  Throwing old news at your customers is definitely not a great marketing scenario.

In today’s world it is easy and financially feasible to obtain updated targeted mailing lists, or better yet, up to date automotive mailing lists. Another great option for established dealers, get updated information appended to your customer file.  Bam! You now have up to date information and can now get truly targeted sales when going after new or existing customers.

Want new customers?  Get a targeted automotive list of consumers that own a particular make, model, and year – know your market. You can target not only the type of vehicle a person owns, but also get additional information about that consumer.    Present them with a great targeted marketing piece that talks to them and the type of vehicle(s) they currently own.  There are a lot of dealers out there.  Make sure the customers that you would want, know about you.  Now that is competitive!
